What Is Osteogenic Loading? (+Video)

Q. What is osteogenic loading?

Osteogenic loading is the process of “loading” or adding weight or impact onto the bone to build more bone. When you stress the bone in your body by doing things like exercising, a signal is sent through your body to build new bone. In short, everything you do to build muscle helps build bone. There are a few important things to remember for this process to be successful. It is best to find a routine you enjoy, and then when you find it, be consistent, and always remember to challenge yourself as you go along.

Listen to Dr. Brown talk about osteogenic loading below. You can also read the blog she posted on the Better Bones website called  Osteogenic Loading — A Key to Reversing Osteoporosis.
