Are Walking and Yoga Enough to Build Bone? (+Video)

Q. Are walking and yoga enough to build bone?

Here at the Center for Better Bones we believe walking is a good weight bearing exercise and always encourage walking 30 minutes a day. If you can hop, jump, or skip, that is all the better. Typically you can build bone while doing yoga, but only if it is done on a regular basis. This has been proven by Dr. Fishman and by an interesting study from India. It is important to remember that to build bone we need to improve our overall muscular strength and that having a consistent routine is key.
