Q. Is dairy a health food or a health risk?
Decades of research has tried to show that dairy can help with osteoporosis, but this has not been shown to be the case. Of course, if you are only getting low amounts of calcium in your diet, dairy may help, but it will not solve a bone health problem. That does not mean it cannot be a good part of a mixed diet.
Listen to Dr. Brown explain how to keep calcium in your bones and out of your arteries. And to learn more about vitamin K, read her Better Bones blog how to reduce arterial hardening and cardiovascular disease, and what foods to eat.
