Volunteers Sought for New Bone Studies

Susan E. Brown, Ph.D. and the Osteoporosis Education Project are seeking volunteers for two new osteoporosis studies. One study will test the ability of a widely used and promising traditional Chinese herbal formula to halt and reverse osteoporosis. The second study will be using a multi-nutrient and herbal supplement formulated as an optimum bone-strengthening agent. Both studies are scheduled to run for three months beginning April 2003.

We are looking for postmenopausal women living in the Central New York area who are not using osteoporosis medications (such as Fosamax, Evista) or hormone therapy. In appreciation for their help with this research project all participants, after the study, will be offered a complimentary consultation with Susan Brown, Ph.D. to develop their own bone-building program.

For information regarding these studies call Janet at the Osteoporosis Education Project, (OEP) telephone 432-1676.
